The MAGG Studio

Why you should be there...

  • Welcome Judy Parady as MAGG's Artist-in-Residence
Judy is a multimedia artist based in Decatur, Georgia, exhibits sculpture, paintings, and jewelry nationally while pursuing regional opportunities to share her work.  She is known for designing and making contemporary jewelry, with an undergraduate degree in silversmithing and jewelry design.  Her studio is equipped to teach jewelry-making classes where she offers a comprehensive metalsmithing program.

Her contributions to the Atlanta art community include serving on the board of the Decatur Arts Alliance, and as president of the Women's Caucus for Art of Georgia.  She is increasingly involved with curatorial activities, most recently for Marcia Wood Gallery where in 2016 she designed an exhibit, Obsessed, featuring artists who work in the vocabulary of jewelry.

Ms. Parady completed an MFA in sculpture from Georgia State University Welch School of Art and Design in May 2018.

  • Learn about photo editing from your phone with Lisa Heller
Shoot, edit and post while on the move.  Bring your phones for an interactive demonstration about phone photography, editing and posting on social media.  You will learn about different editing techniques to make the most of your photographs and how to export them to Facebook and Instagram.  We will discuss both Android and iPhone applications.
  • Shop fabulous stones with Gary Abbott
  • Pick up your 'mystery' packet of materials for the Bremer Design Challenge
  • Greet the MAGG 2019 Board
